Jabari Gray, also known as "JUBI", is a Jamaican-American from New York, on the brink of being the next music sensation to join the likes of Sean Paul, Shaggy, Super Cat and Shabba Ranks - only he is NOT a Dancehall artist.
He proclaims his style "Rap Ja" (pronounced Rap Jay), a more hybrid form of Dancehall, which consists of rapping in Jamaican "patois" over hip-hop and R&B tracks.
In simple terms:
"Rap Ja" is Hip Hop, R&B beats with a Jamaican Backyard lyrical twist.
A Law graduate from Fordham University this handsome man commands attention for both his model good looks as well as his well rounded musical concepts.
Ultimately he allied himself with the "One Da Twinz" and the Azphault Camp. In <"JUBI's" own words: "I like them because the trust, the talent and the vision was there."
The result of this collaboration has been a budding collection of diverse, melodic, infectious, songs dedicated to the urban corporate-thug and playboy lifestyle.
Jubi definetly sets himself apart from his musical peers. In his own words, "Not only do I plan on taking this to next level, but I hope to make a li'l history while i am at it." Pay attention he just may.
